Dear Lindsay
Thank you for your e-mail regarding CBBC's 'Jeopardy'.
I appreciate that you would like to know whether the BBC will be broadcasting
another series of this programme.
Often we cannot inform you if a programme has been re-commissioned - it is only
on publication of Radio Times 10 days beforehand that we can confirm
transmission times. Repeats and purchased programmes such as feature films are
among the last items to be included in our published schedules.
I suggest that you check TV listings such as 'Radio Times' to see if this
programme will be re-commissioned. If you have access to the internet, the
'Radio Times' and BBC 'What's On' websites carry listings up to seven days in
advance. The addresses are:
www.radiotimes.beeb.com
www.bbc.co.uk/whatson/
In the meantime you may be interested in visiting the following BBC website:
www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/
Here you can keep up to date with all the latest commissioning information for
future programmes on BBC Television.
Please be assured that I have registered your interest in seeing this series
re-commissioned as a programme on our audience log. This is an internal
document which will then be made available to members of senior management.
Commissioning decisions are continually reassessed according to feedback we
receive from our viewers.
I also appreciate that you would like to know where you could buy a copy of this
series. I must begin by stating that this programme is not yet currently
commercially available and for copyright and contractual reasons, we are unable
to supply a one-off copy. Our copyright agreements only allow broadcasts;
duplication and distribution of programme tapes has to be negotiated as a
separate commercial agreement. We therefore regret we can only provide
recordings if they're commercially available.
However, if you would like to make a suggestion for its release, I suggest you
put it in writing to BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC:
Commissioning Editor
BBC Worldwide Ltd
Woodlands
80 Wood Lane
London
W12 0TT
You may also consider checking for it in the future by searching on the BBC
shop's website at:
www.bbcshop.com/icat/top10
In the meantime you may be interested in visiting the following BBC website
where you can play an online game of 'Jeopardy':
www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/games/play/play_js.shtml#
Thank you again for your enquiry and I hope this has been of help to you.
Regards
Paul Hunter
